Who We Are

A choice of excursions is offered for Wednesday October 4, the third day of the conference.

You will have the opportunity to discover the beauty and age-old culture of the Ajarian mountains, liaise with locals over home-made wine, learn about the art of gun-making and catch a glimpse of the massive raptor migration that every year takes place around this time right here. Or you may want to go out on the Black Sea and try your luck at fishing. But if you are in for something more relaxed there are Botanical Gardens to be explored or the lush vegetation of the Mtirala National Park.

In the evening of one of the other days all delegates will be invited to visit the famous Gonio, also known as  Apsaros, Fortress to see a sound and light show about the tragic life of the famous Colchic princess Medea.

The city of Batumi also has several interesting museums, among which the Nobel Brothers Batumi Technological Museum. Alfred Nobel, after whom the Nobel Prize is named, invested in the first oil pipeline in Batumi which made the city flourish in the late nineteenth century.

As you see, there is little chance to get bored in Batumi.
